FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical, petrochemical and gas industry and can be used when extracting or concentrating helium from natural gas. The method of extracting helium from natural gas involves obtaining a helium concentrate, followed by low-temperature or membrane separation and adsorption cleaning thereof. Before obtaining the helium concentrate, the stream of natural gas is converted to obtain synthesis gas. Catalytic synthesis of products is carried out and the products are then condensed with separation of the helium concentrate.
EFFECT: higher utilisation of natural gas and lower power consumption when producing helium.
