FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of producing a suspension of hydrogel microparticles with given dimensions based on recombinant cobweb protein. The method involves obtaining a protein solution which is freed from a solvent, obtaining a hydrogel and obtaining a microgel suspension, determining the size of the gel particles and obtaining gel microparticles with given dimensions. Recombinant cobweb protein of orb-weaver spiders is used, which is dissolved in lithium chloride solution in formic acid. The solution undergoes dialysis against a potassium phosphate buffer and then centrifuged. The protein solution is exposed to ultrasound. The solution is settled at room temperature until a gel forms. The gel is passed through a sieve, 96% ethyl alcohol is added, shaken and then aged. The microparticles are separated by differential centrifuging. The invention also relates to use of a suspension of hydrogel microparticles obtaining using the described method for adhesion and proliferation of human or animal cells onto the surface of the hydrogel microparticles or implantation of hydrogel microparticles into the human or animal body.
EFFECT: high efficiency of producing suspensions of hydrogel microparticles with given dimensions.
