FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: test specimen having the surface roughness of not more than 10 mcm and made from the same material as the heat supply system element is arranged in the heat supply system circuit containing the heat exchange surface of heat supply system element. After octadecylamine is added to the system, the specimen is removed and installed at the specified angle to the horizontal. Achievement of sufficient sorption level of octadecylamine on heat exchange surface of the heat supply system element is estimated as per the fact of rolling-down of a water drop with weight of 1 g, which is supplied to the specimen.

EFFECT: improving reliability at determination of sufficient sorption level of octadecylamine on heat exchange surfaces of the heat supply system, as well as reduction of time required for performance of the above measurements.
