FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry, namely to polymer powder compositions for a superhydrophobic coating and to methods of obtaining superhydrophobic coatings. As the base the composition contains a thermoreactive powder compound with a epoxypolyether or epoxide, or polyether, or polyurethane film-forming agent and additionally contains a modifier in the form of hydrophobic particles, selected from the group, including micro- and nanoparticles of fluoroplast with the particle size not larger than 5 mcm, fluoroplast particles, modified with surface-active substances, with the particle size not larger than 5 mcm, microparticles of fluoroplast wax with the particle size not larger than 35 mcm and a mixture of micro- and nano-sized particles of fluoroplast and nanosized particles of aluminium oxide Al2O3 and/or silicon dioxide SiO2 with their ratio from 10:1 to 100:1 w.p. respectively, with the following component ratio, wt %: base - 95-99.5, modifier - 0.5-5. The method of the coating obtaining includes the application of the said powder composition and hardening of the obtained coating at a temperature of 180-190°C for 15-20 minutes, if necessary the second layer of the modifier is applied on the said layer before its hardening, after which hardening of the double-layered coating at a temperature of 185-190°C is performed for 15-20 minutes.
EFFECT: increase of the coating hydrophobicity, achievement of a superhydrophobic state and thus an increase of reliability and durability of the coating.
