FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for producing polymer films with a porous gradient structure and may be used as separation membranes, coatings, electrical insulation, hydrophobic and protective materials for radio and microelectronic devices, optical system components, a layer insulation applicable in precision instruments industry. The method involves creating a stack of sheets of a fibrous polymeric material. The stack is created of various shapes and sizes of the sheets of the fibrous polymeric material along its perimeter. Thereafter, all the sheets of the fibrous polymeric material are joined together by simultaneous sintering at a temperature of 10-20°C less than a melting point of the fibrous polymeric material and a pressure of 50-120 kgs/cm2. After sintered, the produced polymer film with the porous gradient structure is cooled down at a pressure of 50-100 kgs/cm2 to room temperatures at even pressure in the entire surface area.
EFFECT: invention provides the higher hydrophobic behaviour of the polymer films by forming the porous gradient structure with the preset properties.
