FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: according to the detection method, instantaneous value of electric plant current is measured, using filters, pulses of current tapers are separated, which are specific for arc burning, they are converted into voltage, which is amplified, rectified and integrated within the interval of time sufficient to establish the fact of emergency arc burning. Shift voltage that compensates effect of loads with the standard electric arc is subtracted from the produced voltage. The produced result is compared with the threshold value specific for a fire-hazardous situation. If it is exceeded, signals are generated about a fire-hazardous situation and to switch off the electric plant. The instantaneous value of network voltage is measured, groups of neighbouring pulses of current taper are analysed to eliminate tapers that are sharply different from the average amplitude of tapers. Instantaneous values of network voltage are measured at the moment of current taper pulses occurrence, and pulses that do not comply with conditions of arc ignition are eliminated. The interval of current taper pulses summation is increased when registering single pulses and decreased when registering sequences, providing for the possibility to register weak and unstable arcs.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities, increased validity of arc burning process detection and reduced instances of false arc detection.
