METHOD OF ESOPHAGUS PLASTY IN CASE OF CANCER OF UPPER THORACIC AND CERVICAL SECTIONS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to esophagus surgery and oncology, and can be applied in esophagus plasty, cancer of its upper thoracic and cervical sections. Method lies in esophagus extirpation and its simultaneous plasty with tube flap, cut out from stomach, formation of esophagogastric anastomosis on neck and three-zone lymphodissection, performed in case of mobilisation of thoracic part of esophagus and stomach. After lymphodissection on neck, circular transaction of trachea at the level of 2-nd interchondral space is performed. Then, re-intubation of trachea through operation wound is carried out. Distal part of trachea is brought aside from esophagus, transaction of esophagus is performed in formed space at the level of trachea resection, 1 cm more caudally than lower edge of cricoids cartilage. After ablation of esophagus with tumour in lumen and passing gastric stem, in posterior mediastinum esophagogastric anastomosis is formed with preservation and reinforcement of lower pharyngeal sphincter. After that, circular intertracheal anastomosis is formed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase radicality of surgery and reduce risk of food mass regurgitation.
