FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to orthopedics and traumatology and is intended for carrying out total endoprosthetics of hip joint after purulent cocsitis. Arthrotomy of hip joint is carried out. Resection of femoral bone is performed 20-25 mm higher than its base. After that cement spacer, impregnated with antibiotics is formed in form of femoral bone head, and in the process of polymerisation it is fixed on the remaining part of femoral bone neck. After arresting inflammatory process the remaining part of femoral bone neck is resected at the level of its base with simultaneous removal of cement spacer. Installation of prosthesis is carried out.
EFFECT: method ensures preservation of movements in joint, compensation of extremity shortening, prevention of muscular atrophy development, reduction of risk of inflammation recurrence.
