FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel includes a body and a gear rim with teeth, on the ends of which along working surfaces and flush with them lubricant retaining pockets in the form of flanges are located. The flanges are continued throughout the length and form a closed profile identical to the gear rim profile, being located perpendicular to ends of teeth and the body of the wheel.
EFFECT: increasing wear resistance of working surfaces of teeth.
