FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to machining, particularly, to metal cutting tools. Proposed tool comprises moving cutting elements 1 arranged at platforms 3 reciprocating in feed direction and stationary cutting elements 2 secured in tool body. Said platforms 3 are coupled with body via trapezoidal guides and connected with drive. For cutting element cooling, platforms are displaced in feed direction beyond the diameter of cutting of stationary cutting elements 2 so that source of stationary cutting element heating source is deactivated to cool stationary cutting element 2 to coolant temperature. Method of cooling may be used in milling and drilling.
EFFECT: higher durability of cutting edges, longer life.
