CUTTING TOOL (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC B23B27/00

Abstract RU 2575530 C2

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: claimed tool comprises the body. Screw is screwed in said body through the main plate bore. The insert is located at the main plate. Screw tapered head locks the cutting edge of cutting tool relative to the body by tightening through the pressure element bore or the insert bore. The main plate angle can be protected against harm from sheared ply and chip which is formed between the leading surface of the insert and the cutting plate body surface. Distance from cutting edge to transition rib of the insert angle makes 0.2-2.5 mm. Note here that the insert is fitted at 15-45 degrees of deflection of its lengthwise secant plane the cutting surface and at 75-45 degrees of deflection of said plane from the fastening screw axis. The cutting tool is provided with open or closed cooling system.

EFFECT: perfected cutting conditions, higher tool hardness.
