FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cutting plate comprises body with cutout that has side surface and fastener opening and cutting element with bottom thrust surface including cutting part and fastening part fitted in body seat. Note here that said cutting plate has face and rear surfaces, major cutting edge and minor cutting edge that make vertex angle. To expand machining performances by stiff joint between cutting element and plate body, body seat is furnished with bottom thrust wall formed by cutout lateral surface. Note here that fastening part lengthwise axis is shifted from vertex angle bisector toward major cutting edge. Fastening part and body seat in section parallel about bottom thrust surface are shaped to wedge with angle smaller than friction angle. Note also that wedge vertex is directed from cutting part whereon thrust surfaces are made perpendicular to fastening part lengthwise axis at its opposite sides to interact with body thrust surfaces. Note heat that cutting element bottom thrust surface is furnished with recess confined by cylindrical surface to make thrust sections under cutting edge top and nearby fastening part face surface whereon chamfer is made an angle to bottom thrust surface smaller than friction angle.
EFFECT: expanded performances.
