FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: interferometer has a collimated beam former with a beam splitter, a reference mirror, a selector diaphragm, an observation system placed in the front focus of the lens of the former behind the beam splitter, a CCD camera and the investigated afocal system lying between the lens of the former and the reference mirror. There is a flat mirror placed at an angle to the optical axis of the beam which is reflected at a small angle from the reference mirror, a first collimating lens which is confocal with the lens of the former, a second flat mirror, a second collimating lens placed on the path of the beam reflected from the reference mirror, confocal with the lens of the former provided with a second beam splitter, a polariser plate and two additional flat mirrors which form a closed loop which includes a half-wave plate. Behind the beam splitter of the former, there is an additional beam splitter and a second CCD camera lying in the focal plane of the lens of the former. The observation system is in form of a collimating and a translational lens with a polarisation cube in between. The collimating lens lies confocal to the lens of the former.
EFFECT: enabling measurement of an investigated afocal system with aberrations of any type.
