FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to columns intended for mass exchange processes in vapor(gas)-fluid system and provided with plate-type contact devices which may be used for rectification and absorption in gas, oil, petrochemical and other industries. Proposed column consists of body to house stack of crossed-flow plates communicated via overflow pots confined by overflow bars, with plate webs with screens for vapor (gas) to pass there through made by extruding shaped bubbling heads retained by two extruded feet separating the head into two parts. Said feet nearby bubbling head are located in normal or at angle to fluid motion direction on the plate and shifted relative to each other through about 180-190 degrees. Parts of bubbling heads feature equal or different size while their edges are lifted or lowered, or combination thereof. Said bubbling head is shaped to circle, oval or rectangle. Bubbling head edges are shaped to ripple, dovetail, or butterfly.
