FIELD: search for mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: space, aerial ( then photographic ) surveys of ground surface of examined area are carried out within bounds of exposed dislocation structures in autumn, winter and spring seasons of year. Photographic survey is conducted before snow fall, at start of formation of snow cover with various thickness of it and after complete thawing of snow. Photographic survey is carried out in optical and infrared range of wave lengths. Photographs with one length of wave obtained in various seasons of year are matched and synthesized with similar photographs of another length of wave. Condition and dynamics of change of snow cover are used to evaluate presence of biogeochemical anomalies on surface and of pools of hydrocarbons in entrails of the earth, to contour areas promising with regard to oil and gas content and sections for definition of prospecting geophysical and drilling operations for oil and gas are determined. EFFECT: increased degree of authenticity of exposure of areas perspective for conducting geologic prospecting operations which considerably diminishes material and labor input for these operations. 4 dwg
