FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a thermal imaging channel which consists of a thermal imaging channel lens, a matrix radiation detector, a flat display, thermal imaging channel magnifiers, a beam splitting cube and a night channel which consists of a night channel lens, an electro-optical transducer with a flat screen, night channel magnifiers, and a beam splitting cube shared with the thermal imaging channel. The thermal imaging channel magnifier is two-component, with a beam splitting cube placed between the components. The second component of the thermal imaging channel magnifier is a night channel magnifier. Relationships between parameters of device components given in the claim are satisfied.
EFFECT: enabling observation in thermal imaging and night channels with the same values of geometrical magnification for operation with image overlapping.
