FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: grounding conductor for an SF6 insulated switchgear comprises an arc quenching device comprising a fixed contact, a movable cylindrical contact arranged coaxially with the fixed contact. Around the fixed contact with a central hole there is a screen arranged. The fixed contact comprises two parts - a cylindrical and an expanding conical parts. At the end of the conical part there is an insulating cylindrical insert.
EFFECT: reduced time of induced current arcing and expanded range of disconnected induced currents to hundreds of amperes without increase of speed of a movable contact.
