FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to systems and methods of determining location of surgical instrument in patient's body. System contain source of electromagnetic waves for division of electromagnetic signal with frequency in the range from 1 kHz to 100 GHz into components, spreading along one way of probe passing and along the base way, way of probe passing having signal outlet on source of electromagnetic waves or on the end of waveguide, detector, correlator and unit for determination of signal outlet location relative to detector, on the basis of certain correlation. Medical system, which contains surgical instrument, in particular, catheter, endoscope or needle, also includes system of location determination, with realisation of method of determination of location of point of interest with application of machine-readable data carrier, on which software is stored.
EFFECT: claimed is system of location determination.
