FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optics and relates to a non-volatile reconfigurable optical filtering device. Device comprises a micro-ring resonator and two waveguides configured to input and output optical radiation. Micro-ring resonator has a section coated with a layer of material with a phase change (PCM section). First and second waveguides contain corresponding first and second interferometric arms. Interferometric arms comprise a section coated with a layer of material with phase change (PCM section). Micro-ring resonator is located between the first and second waveguides with provision of optical connection between the interferometric arms and the micro-ring resonator. Each of the sections of the PCM provides a predetermined effective refraction index for radiation at a certain wavelength and for subsequent provision of resonance shift and/or change in the amplitude of optical radiation propagated in the corresponding waveguide.
EFFECT: creation of a tunable filtering device with low optical losses and low power consumption for switching and support of the device operation.
