FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: iron-ore concentrate and binder are mixed to obtain damp blend and wall accretion at pelletiser bottom. Note that damp blend is fed into pelletiser in two flows with feeding first flow into compressed gas flow to produce gas-damp blend mix. Zone occupied by said blend and that without it are formed at pelletiser bottom. Nucleation is performed by depositing the blend on wall accretion with the help of gas-damp blend mix jet in zone with no blend to produce dense layer of damp blend. Said dense layer of blend is divided into nuclei by plate separators, wall accretion is cleaned of nuclei to form pellet shell by extra pelletising said nuclei by second flow blend. Note here that binder content in blend first flow is set to 10-90% of optimum magnitude while, in blend second flow, binder is fed additionally to reach optimum magnitude. Blend dense layer surface is uniformly damped in deposition.
EFFECT: decreased consumption of binder, higher efficiency of pelletiser.
