FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: at the pelletiser bottom there formed is slag lining; wet charge with W humidity is supplied to pelletiser in two flows. The first flow is added to compressed air flow with formation of gas-moisture-charge jet by means of jet device. At the pelletiser bottom there formed is the zone occupied with charge and zone free from charge. Nucleation with charge sputtering on slag lining with gas-moisture-charge jet oriented to slag lining is performed in charge-free zone so that dense layer of wet charge is obtained, which is divided into nuclei. Slag lining is cleaned from nuclei, pelletised with charge of the second flow till pellets are obtained. Prior to sputtering slag lining is wetted to humidity equal to 0.9-1.1 W. Gas-moisture-charge jet is formed by mixing the flows of compressed air and charge so that air mixture is formed in jet device at the outlet of which nozzle is installed in the form of two hollow flattened cones one of which is located in the cavity of the other one with possibility of longitudinal and transverse movement relative to the section of jet device. Angular opening of external cone is 20-30°, and ratio of angular openings of cones is 1-2.
EFFECT: increasing strength of pellets and efficiency of the pelletiser.
