SUBSTANCE: process cartridge is detachably mounted in the main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the electrophotographic image forming apparatus having a support element, a movable element, an actuating element and an adjusting part. The process cartridge includes: an electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a processing means; a supported part and an adjusted part for adjustment through contact with the adjusting part to adjust movement of the process cartridge in the longitudinal direction of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, when the support element moves, by moving the movable element under the action of the actuating element and in the horizontal direction and upward direction when supporting the process cartridge. When the support element moves in the horizontal direction and upwards when supporting the process cartridge, the supported part slides on the support element in the horizontal direction, and the adjusted part slides on the adjusting part upwards.
EFFECT: faster installation of the process cartridge into the main assembly of the apparatus in a stable state, maintaining stable contact between the photosensitive drum and the transfer tape.
