SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to scheduling the motion of trains. Proposed method using train motion simulation comprises the steps that follow. Main and alternative train routes are selected. First train of multiple trains is selected. First train route to first decision making point is simulated to estimate simulated first train motion. Second train of multiple trains is selected. Second train motion on route to second decision making point is simulated. Simulated motion of second train is estimated. Simulation and estimation for every train is reiterated unless predefined time is reached or all train reach their destinations. Thereafter, motion schedule is developed proceeding from simulation results. Another version comprises the steps that follow. First train of multiple trains is selected. First train main and alternative routes are selected. Simulation of first train motion on preferable route to first decision making point. Simulated motion of first train is estimated. In case simulated traffic does no satisfy preset criterion, first train motion on alternative route is simulated to schedule motion from simulation results.
EFFECT: optimised railway traffic.
