FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: flow of particles is illuminated with a light beam, and the image of particles is registered, on the basis of which size and shape of particles are estimated. The light beam after passage of the flow is turned relative to the initial beam and again sent via the flow, where particle images are registered at six angles of the light flux. Therefore, there are six particle projections available in the registration plane. Size and shape of particles are estimated according to produced images.

EFFECT: increased information value of data to estimate shape of particles, in particular, makes it possible to determine particle parameters in case of its arbitrary orientation.
