FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in producing cermet and diamond-bearing elements for various tools, for example, crown bits, stone processing elements, cutters, etc. Graphite parts of die are coated with thin layer of aqueous or alcohol suspension of graphite-like boron nitride. Pre-compacted initial billets are placed in processed graphite die. Pressure of up to 300 bar and temperature of up to 1000°C are applied to said billets to be kept thereat for up to 10 minutes. Then, pressure and temperature are decreased to withdraw finished elements from graphite die.
EFFECT: higher durability of graphite dies and quality of abrasive elements, lower costs.
