FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodwork and may be used in harvest of wood stock for production of fuel or process kindling and firewood for boiler houses. Splitter blade is made of vertical rectangular wedge divided into two halves by turning one part in horizontal plane through 180 degrees and jointing them together along vertical rib to make common cutting edge. Inclined sides of both parts are opposed to direct the forces to timber inclined sides in opposite directions.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, decreased power consumption.
