FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high molecular weight compounds and particularly to production of polymer products containing macromolecules of epoxide groups. Disclosed is a method of producing epoxidated 1,2-polybutadienes, involving reaction of a polymer solution in an organic solvent with an epoxidation agent, where the epoxidation agent used is a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, sodium tungstate and phosphoric acid in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst, the phase transfer catalyst used being cetylpyridinium chloride in molar ratio 1,2-polybutadiene:hydrogen peroxide equal to 1:0.4-1.1; 1,2-polybutadiene:sodium tungstate equal to 1:0.07-0.5; 1,2-polybutadiene:phosphoric acid equal to 1:0.08-0.7; 1,2-polybutadiene:cetylpyridinium chloride equal to 1:0.22; reactants react at temperature of 50-55°C for 3 hours; pH of the reaction medium is kept at 2-3 by adding 0.1 M aqueous sodium hydrophosphate solution. Atactic or syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene with number-average molecular weight Mn from 1000 to 150000 and content of 1,2-polymerisation links in macromolecules of 70-85 mol % is used.
EFFECT: method is realised without by-products.
