FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high molecular weight compounds, particularly to production of polymer products containing epoxy groups in macromolecules. The method of producing epoxidated 1,2-polybutadienes involves reaction of a polymer with an epoxidising agent containing hydrogen peroxide and phosphoric acid in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst; the polymer used is nonwoven material consisting of 1,2-polybutadiene fibres with diameter of 1.1-3.5 mcm, surface density of 40-80 g/m2, wherein the epoxidising agent further contains sodium tungstate; the phase transfer catalyst used is cetylpyridinium chloride with molar ratio 1,2-polybutadiene: hydrogen peroxide = 1:0.4-1.1 and sodium tungstate: phosphoric acid 1:1-4; the reaction between the polymer and the epoxidising agent is carried out at temperature of 10-30°C, for 1-4 hours and pH of the reaction medium of 2-3 is maintained by adding 0.1 M aqueous sodium hydrophosphate solution.
