FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to high molecular weight compounds, particularly to production of polymer products based on 1,2-polybutadienes which contain epoxy groups in macromolecules. Described is a method of producing epoxidated 1,2-polybutadienes, which involves reaction of a polymer with an epoxidising agent containing hydrogen peroxide and phosphoric acid, characterised by that the polymer used is nonwoven material consisting of 1,2-polybutadiene fibres with diameter of 1.1-3.5 mcm, surface density of the nonwoven material of 40-80 g/m2, wherein the epoxidising agent further contains sodium molybdate with molar ratio of 1,2-polybutadiene to hydrogen peroxide of 1:0.4-1.1 and sodium molybdate to phosphoric acid of 1:1-4; the reaction between the polymer and the epoxidising agent is carried out at temperature of 10-30°C for 1-4 hours and pH of the reaction medium of 2-3 is maintained by adding 0.1 M aqueous sodium hydrophosphate solution.
EFFECT: obtaining epoxidated 1,2-polybutadienes using a method characterised by high safety, avoiding use of organic solvents and a phase transfer catalyst during synthesis, low power consumption and high quality of the end product.
