FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: instant diagnostic technique for bronchopulmonary diseases consists in the fact that an absorption spectrum of exhaled air is recorded and analysed; that is preceded by measuring the absorption spectrum of exhaled air in verified groups of patients with bronchial diseases being of a diagnostic interest. Average squared Mahalanobis distances from the absorption spectrum of exhaled breath of each individual of the group to the absorption spectrum of exhaled air of the rest of the group are calculated, then an average of these average values and a confidence interval are derived. And if the average squared Mahalanobis distance from the absorption spectrum of the patient being tested to those of the patients from the group of the diagnosed disease falls within the confidence interval for the patients from the group of the diagnosed disease, the presence of the diagnosed disease in the patient being tested is stated, otherwise the above procedure is repeated to detect the other bronchopulmonary disease.
EFFECT: using the declared technique enables simplifying and reducing a time of diagnosing the bronchopulmonary disease.
