FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: display device (i) performs overcontrol for gray scale data of a target frame, wherein the gray scale data are meant for conversion to a data signal, wherein during overcontrol, gray scale data are converted such that they include an overcontrol value in accordance with at least gray scale data of a given frame preceding the target frame and with gray scale data of the target frame; and (ii) further performs gray scale correction for gray scale data obtained as a result of performing overcontrol for gray scale data for the target frame. Gray scale correction is performed using a correction value which corresponds to each position of corresponding columns, to each of which the data signal should be transmitted, wherein corresponding columns lie on a display panel.

EFFECT: performing corresponding overcontrol with respect to gray scale data converted to a data signal, correcting through feed voltage in accordance with the position of a column of a liquid crystal panel.
