SUBSTANCE: display device has, in a display region, a first circuit which includes a photodiode (62b), a first capacitor (62c), a second capacitor (62d) and an output amplifier (62a). The cathode of the photodiode (62b), the first end of the first capacitor (62c), the first end of the second capacitor (62d) and the input of the output amplifier (62a) are connected to each other through a first node (netA). The electrode at the second end of the second capacitor (62d) is made on a substrate, having a display surface of a display panel, and the electrode at the first end of the second capacitor (62d) lies outside the display surface in the thickness direction of the display panel such that it faces the electrode at the second end of the second capacitor (62d).

EFFECT: smaller dimensions, high reliability, improved display quality.
