FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to vascular surgery, as well as to ultrasound angiology. Peak linear blood flow rate (pLBFR) in main arteries of both upper extremities at wrist level, as well as in main arteries of foot on the side of clinical interest, is registered. Resulting pLBFR index for upper extremities and for lower extremity of clinical interest is determined. In further calculations the upper extremity, whose index of pLBFR is higher, is taken into account. In case if blood flow is absent in one of main wrist and/or foot arteries, value of pLBFR, registered in single main artery with preserved blood flow, is taken as the resulting index. Ratio of resulting indices in form of foot-wrist rate index is determined. If its value is 1.00-1.30, regional blood circulation in the examined lower extremity is assessed as normal. If the value is 0.80-0.99, the regional blood circulation is assessed as mild degree of ischemia. In case if the value equals 0.50-0.79, it is assessed as moderate degree, and if the value is < 0.50, it is assessed as severe degree of ischemia.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase objectivity of assessment of regional blood circulation in lower extremities, as well as to assess regional blood circulation in patients with critical ischemia.
