FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in order to record fluorescence spectra, a sample is exposed to shortwave (266 nm) electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet range with high (0.1 mm) spatial resolution. Due to the presence of aromatic rings in these substances, there is fundamental electronic absorption of these compounds in the middle ultraviolet range; the recorded fluorescence spectra are converted to correlation fluorescence spectra which enable to establish the differences in qualitative and quantitative composition of the sample even if the type of their fluorescence spectra is almost similar.
EFFECT: highly accurate nondestructive inspection of molecular composition and structure of biological preparations with minimisation of time spent on analysis.
