FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of simulating complex radiation effect on an investigated object relates to the physics of radiation effect on materials, electronic products and radio electronic equipment, and is meant for conducting tests in order to design equipment with high resistance to radiation effect, and can particularly be applied in methods of simulating complex radiation, as well as for verifying existing methods of estimating durability of exposed objects. The method involves generating pulsed gamma-neutron radiation and pulsed deceleration radiation. The novelty of the invention is further generation of steady-state low-intensity gamma-neutron radiation with particle flux density of at least 109 cm2·s-1 three hours before generating pulsed radiation, and the investigated object is exposed to gamma-neutron radiation on its background.
EFFECT: providing a wider set of destabilising factors of testing an investigated object, which takes the model closer to real conditions of possible effect, thereby increasing accuracy of determining characteristics of radiation resistance of the investigated object.
