FIELD: nuclear and radiation physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear and radiation physics and can be used to determine the dynamic and time-integrated characteristics of high-dose high-energy bremsstrahlung or gamma radiation from powerful pulsed sources. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that in the method for measuring the upper limit of the integral and dynamic characteristics of high-energy bremsstrahlung or gamma radiation from powerful pulsed sources, a selection is carried out, namely, the ability to adjust the thickness of the scintillator, which provides transparency for its own optical radiation, to a specific expected dose while maintaining in general the amplitude of the detector response.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of increasing the measured dose in a wider range.
