SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wheel sports item (1; 15), which is adapted for use on a user's leg, so that it could slide relative to the ground in accordance with the movement direction (X) parallel to the leg, and making it possible for a user to use a braking method similar to "plough" braking method in snow skis. The roller ski (1) or the roller skate (15) comprises a lengthy body (2; 17), connected with two wheels (3a; 3b; 22), a platform (5; 18), connected with the above lengthy body (2; 17), creating a support surface (5a) for the leg; and a facility (6; 20) for breaking of wheels (3a; 3b; 22). The item (1; 15) also comprises a facility (7) for connection of the platform (5; 18) with the lengthy body (2; 17), which forms an axis of rotation (Y), orthogonal to the support surface (5 a) to allow for leg rotation, and a control facility (8), sensitive to leg rotation for control of the specified braking facility (6: 20).

EFFECT: possibility to retain balance and to improve control over an item, which considerably reduces risk of its falling.
