FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed, which involves preliminary fluidisation and further burning in the furnace containing a heating chamber with a gas distributing grid, which is equipped with a feeder and connected to a sanitary cyclone, a burning chamber having fuel burners and an overflow device inside cylindrical cavity, from which a hot cyclone is installed, a guide partition wall separating the material supply zone from material unloading zone, and an annular gas distributing grid, a cooling chamber with grid distributing grid, which is equipped with an air duct; annular gas distributing grid of the burning chamber is provided with thin shaped blades. Shaped blades are installed with uniformly alternating pitches and angles. Fuel burners are located at different height with uniform alternation of heights within thickness of fluidised material bed; at that, their axes are directed at different angles to longitudinal axis of the furnace. Fuel burners are provided with tangential entry of one of the fuel components; at that, maximum diameter of atomisation flame of the above fuel burners corresponds to thickness of fluidised material bed, and its length corresponds to width of fluidised material bed.

EFFECT: increasing uniform burning of small-grain material.
