SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting multiple candidate lines of the earth's surface on an image, installing a band, the centre line of which is the boundary between the earth's surface (3) and other regions on the "Earth-Structure-Sky" map image (ESS map), and determining a line of the earth's surface on the image, while selecting a candidate line of the earth's surface which is located within the installed band the most, or selecting multiple straight lines on the image, determining multiple candidate lines of the earth's surface using the convergence point of said straight lines, and using the image of ESS map to select a line of the earth's surface for said image from a plurality of lines of the earth's surface.

EFFECT: high efficiency of processing images.
