FIELD: non-destructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-destructive testing and concerns an automated method for luminescent testing. When implementing the method, the part is luminous under the action of ultraviolet light and its images are obtained with at least two color cameras. When receiving images, the part rotates while alternately fixing it with opposite ends. The resulting image is filtered until a black and white image is obtained. Next, a two-dimensional image of candidate defects is converted into a three-dimensional image and their clustering is carried out. After that, each cluster is skeletonized, and the obtained parameters of the cluster skeleton determine the geometric dimensions of the candidate defect. Duplicate candidate defects are removed. At the last stage, the parameters of candidate defects are compared with acceptable parameters, the truth of the defect is determined and the degree of suitability of the part is determined with a record of the results obtained.
EFFECT: providing the ability to determine the degree of suitability of the part in automatic mode, increasing the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained.
