FIELD: measurements.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a data acquisition module configured to receive data from one or more radars installed on a vehicle, wherein the received data includes target coordinates, the level of the reflected signal and the radial speed of the target, and a data processing and analysis module configured to cluster the received data and defining a cluster as a candidate object if it does not have an association with any of the already tracked objects, whereas each target in the received data is considered as a point in space according to its coordinates, whereas clustering involves combining into clusters points that are located from each other within the fusion distance and have a close radial speed, while the fusion distance of a given point with other points depends on the level of the reflected signal of this point.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of identifying objects based on data from the radar.
