FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: antennae of radiators (1) and devices (2) for measuring an electromagnetic signal are made in form of magnetic dipoles. The radiators (1) and the measuring devices (2) are placed along the median line (5) of an object detection zone. Magnetic dipoles are arranged in one row in form of successive alternating cells of radiators (8) and cells of measuring devices (9). Each cell of radiators (8) and each cell of measuring devices (9) consists of two series-connected magnetic dipoles. The magnetic moment vector m ¯ of each magnetic dipole lies in the horizontal plane and is aligned orthogonal to the tangent of the median line (5) of the object detection zone. First, a first radiator m11 is switched on in a selected cell of radiators (8) and an electromagnetic signal is received by the measuring device m31 furthest from the first radiator and located in a cell of measuring devices (9) adjacent to the first radiator m31 and the measuring device m21 closest to the first radiator and located in the opposite cell of measuring devices (9) adjacent to the second radiator m12 in the selected cell of radiators. After transmitting and receiving the electromagnetic signal transmitted by the first radiator m11, the second radiator m12 is switched on in the selected cell of radiators. The electromagnetic signal is received by the measuring device m22 furthest from the second radiator and located in a cell of measuring devices (9) adjacent to the second radiator m12, and by the measuring device m32 closest to the second radiator and located in the opposite cell of measuring devices (9), adjacent to the first radiator m11. A moving electroconductive object and its location are determined by comparing electromagnetic signals obtained when switching on the first and second radiators of each cell of radiators (8) with a predetermined signal threshold.

EFFECT: high reliability of detecting moving electroconductive biological objects and accuracy of determining the spatial region of the detection zone in which a secure area was breached.
