FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: elastic coupling includes two semi-couplings consisting of hubs and discs attached to each other on perimetre of the discs by means of an elastic element. The elastic element is made in the form of a flexible steel rope wound along a spiral forming a mountain-like shape. Each turn of the rope is fixed at two diametrically opposite points located on different semi-coupling on the diameter equal to the diameter of centres of turns of the spiral forming the mountain-like shape.

EFFECT: improvement of mass and dimensions parameters of a coupling.
