SUBSTANCE: what is involves is the histological examination of tissue fragments taken from the extracted lung with primary, lobar and segmental bronchi at 4-5 cm from the tumour, and in respiratory bronchial epithelium adjacent to the tumour. That is followed by describing various versions of disregeneratory changes: goblet cell hyperplasia (GCH), basal cell hyperplasia (BCH), squamous metaplasia (SM) and dysplastic (D) changes. If the bronchial epithelium adjoining the tumour shows a combination of SM with neoplasia (degree II-III D; (SM+D+)), a risk of the onset of hematogenous metastases is predicted.
EFFECT: higher prediction accuracy.
