FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes the method to detect doping in horses, including sampling of a biological fluid, preparation of a tested sample from it by means of extraction, extract evaporation and dry residue dissolution, chromatographic separation and mass-spectral analysis of the tested sample with registration of produced results by detection of availability of xenobiotics, differing by the fact that two types of the biological fluid are sampled from a suspicious horse - blood plasm and urine, each of them is divided into three aliquots - A, B and C, from which the aliquot A is frozen, the aliquot B is exposed to chromatographic separation and mass spectral analysis, and retention time indices are recorded, as well as the ratio of intensity of specific ions, and in the aliquot C they dissolve a reference substance, further they carry out chromatographic separation and mass spectral analysis of the specified aliquot, and retention time indices are recorded, as well as the ratio of intensity of specific ions, then they select knowingly non-doped horses, divide them into two equal groups - reference and experimental ones, and the latter is doped with the sought-for xenobiotic, at the same time in the experimental group of horses they detect products of metabolism of the sought-for xenobiotic by comparison of recorded results of analysis of biological fluid samples in experimental and reference groups of horses, and then they detect the sought-for xenobiotic in the suspicious horse, comparing retention time indices and ratio of intensity of specific ions of all samples with account of produced data on metabolism products, and if there are doubts regarding validity of analysis results, they additionally perform analysis of frozen samples of the biological fluid of the suspicious horse as a version of retrospective detection of doping, and produced results of all tests are further used as a data base in process of doping control of horses.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect doping availability in horses with high accuracy.
