FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed ladle comprises central chamber and discharge chambers arranged on opposite side therefrom and heating chambers with plasma torches arranged between central chamber and discharge chambers. Every heating chamber is communicated via bottom bore in its wall with central chamber while, via bore, made in the other wall located above bottom bore, it communicates with discharge chamber. Refractory baffle with bottom steel passage is arranged in heating chamber above plasma torch, parallel with camber walls. Said baffle features height equal to distance from chamber bottom to heating chamber wall bore. Said heating chamber wall bore is intended for steel passage.
EFFECT: higher reliability of steel heating by plasma.
