FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making abrasive tools on organic thermoset binders ro machine various metals and alloys. Proposed method comprises preheating abrasive tool semis in microwave chamber at 2450 Hz frequency for 100 mm thick abrasive tool and 890-915 Hz for abrasive tool thickness over 100 mm to complete polymerisation temperature. Thereafter curing is performed at said temperature and uniform forced removal of released volatile substances by airflow generated by microwave chamber draft ventilation from thermostat free volume. This rules out saturation state of volatile substance vapors at maximum heat insulation of thermostat working zone and ensures temperature spread of semis there inside not over ±10% of average magnitude. Note here that semis heating temperature in said chamber is controlled by gas analyser mounted at chamber outlet subject to composition and concentration of volatile substances.
EFFECT: higher quality of abrasive tools.
