SUBSTANCE: method and device for renovation of a solid particle filter located in an outlet path of an internal combustion engine with NO oxidation catalyst (6) NO, and namely in NO2, which is located in flow direction before the solid particle filter, through which an exhaust gas flow passes. According to the invention, heating device (8), and namely a heating catalyst is provided, which is located in flow direction before solid particle filter (3), which carries an additional gas flow or the second flow (14) of exhaust gases. Use of the above heating device contributes to heating of additional gas flow (14). Heated additional gas flow (14) is mixed in flow direction before solid particle filter (3) with exhaust gas flow (15) coming from NO oxidation catalyst (6), and namely saturated with NO2.
EFFECT: providing structurally simple, safe and reliable renovation of a solid particle filter.
