FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: described devices provide for searching for a cell by means of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. In one aspect the primary synchronisation code (PSC) sequence may be generated on the basis of Frank sequence and permanent amplitude sequence, which is repeated many times. In another aspect the set of PSC sequences may be generated on the basis of complementary sequences, having good aperiodic properties of correlation and efficient realisations. In one version the PSC sequences A+B and B+A may be formed on the basis of complementary sequences Golay A, and B, where "+" means concatenation. In another aspect the set of secondary synchronisation code (SSC) sequences may be generated on the basis of a set of base sequences and different symbols of modulation for a modulation circuit. Each base sequence may be modulated by each of M possible symbols of modulation for a modulation circuit, in order to receive M different SSC sequences.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of synchronisation.
