SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire fighting, in particular, to foam generating compositions for extinguishing fire of classes A and B, and can be used in fire extinguishing in transport, in facilities of different branches of industry. The foam generating composition comprises aerosol forming substances, triethanolamine alkyl sulfate salt of primary fatty alcohols of fraction C8-C14, polycarboxylate "Acremon", triethanolamine, carbamide, higher fatty alcohols of fraction C9-C11, oxyethylated sodium lauryl sulfate, gelatine and water.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fire extinguishing while simultaneous exclusion of open flame, reduction of temperature and toxicity of both the resulting fire-extinguishing mixture and the fire-extinguishing medium created through it in the protective area.
